Nokia Lumia 625 Full Phone Specifications
The Nokia Lumia 625 is a tweaked version fixing all the problems in nokia lumia 620 which was lauched ealier this year. This cure round edged phone is expected to hit markets in september 2013. This was announced by Nokia India on July. The phone featuring windows operating system may replace lumia 620. No official words are out about this. We had seen problems of lag and hanging up on lumia 620, While lumia 720 and 520 were perfect Gems.
Though the specifications are somewhat similar to that of lumia 620 as Nokia has only cared to remove problems that Lumia 620 faced. But lets look into the detailed specifications.
NETWORK
The Nokia lumia 625 supports all networks namely 2G,3G,4G LTE. The bands supported are 850,900,1800,1900 in GSM mode and HSDPA 850,900,2100 in 3G mode, LTE 800,1800,2600 in 4G mode.The SIM architecture is micro SIM. One with an existing mini sim has to adapt it into micro sim by using a SIM cutter, which cuts the mini SIM to micro SIM size. Nokia announced it has fixed all range drop problems experienced in Lumia 620. Hope this is true.
BODY
The Nokia Lumia 625 is 5.25*2.85*0.36 IN SIZE (inches). The smartphone weighs 159 grams. This is little more, but no problem for user as mere 30grams cant be felt.
DISPLAY
The phone features an LCD capacitive touchscreen and the screen supports 16 million colour shades. The screen is 480*800 in size. approximately 4.7 inches and has a negotiable 199ppi pixel density. a little bit low, but adjustable. The phone supports multitouch and it is protected from scratches by the corning gorilla 2. We expected gorrilla 3. But nokia didnt update it. Hope they have a reason for doing so. Maybe cost cutting.
SOUND
The phone is equipped with default WAV ringtones and the user is provided an option to customize it and use their Mp3 in place of the ringtone. The phone also has a built in loudspeaker and has a 3.5mm jack for audio playback to external devices or headphone.
MEMMORY
The phone supports micro-sd external cards upto 64GB capacity. The main catch is that it also has an internal 8GB for installing applications (around 4.5GB usable). The phone is equipped with a 512MB ram. We expected atleast 1GB ram for smoother operation.
DATA
The phone also provides backward compatibility to GPRS and EDGE users. It also supports HSDPA upto 42.2 Mbps and HSUPA upto 5.76Mbps. This is a wonderful move which pushes this device well ahead of smartphones in the same range which offer just 12.2Mbps maximum support. The phone also supports Wi-Fi and also it works as a Wi-Fi hotspot and can function as a tethering device/repeater .The latest version of bluetooth v4.0 is integrated for lightning fast data transfer between devices. It also has a micro-USB v2.0 support to directly transfer data from your pc.
CAMERA
The primary camera is a little low laying 5MP and supports 2592*1936 resolution. It has an integrated autofocus, LED flash and Geo tagging and touch focus. The video recording is at 30 frames on 1080p mode. The secondary camera is also a mere VGA which makes the smartphone a Uncomplete package
FEATURES
The other features the phone has are the latest windows 8 OS, dual core krait @ 1.2GHZ and a GPU (1dreno 305) for basic graphic needs. The phone is also equipped with sensors like accelerometer,proximity and compass. The browser supports HTML 5 too.It also has an inbuilt radio. The GPS enabled smartphone supports GLONASS too.
BATTERY
The expected talktime on a 2000mah li-ion battery is around 15hours in 3G mode.
