Xolo play T1000 is a gaming smartphone with Intel processor, which showed up in indian market this july 2013. Xolo is manufactured worldwide by Taiwanese OEM Gigabyte for Intel. Xolo play comes with LCD capacitive touch screen of 4.7 inches with 16M color support. It provides a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It weighs 167g even though it is having some more powerful extension to its processor. In past only two gaming phones are released before. Nokia N-GAGE and Sony ericson psp smartphone with sliding joystick and capacitive touch pad.

This phone is entirely made for gaming. It runs a quad core processor with a clock speed of 1.5GHz. It consists of 12 core (3 x quad core) ULP GeForce powered by NVIDIA TEGRA chipset. (Which can be powered up manually while gaming – saves battery either). It is designed with 4GB internal memory and 1GB of RAM. Since it uses NVIDIA we can experience 3D stereo gaming and it provides NVIDIA Prism Display Technology for crystal clear pictures while gaming. 12 core ULP Nvidia GeFore with 82 million triangles per second at 416 MHz which ensures no lag for video or audio while gaming. Gaming Experience

I got a hands-on gaming experience on Xolo play T1000. I started gaming when there was 30% of battery charge, after playing continuously for 40 minutes the charge became 15%. The phone is having a smart battery for the powerful processor and Nvida GPU. The things I noted especially in this phone are while playing a shooting game, the fumes produces by the bullets are very visible and also while playing racing games the car body reflections,world details as well as tyre marks on roads are crystal clear. The game pad on phone’s screen are having high response without any lag.

Yes i have been also blessed by the anonymous robot visits from vampirestat and watchdog. I was really pissed off when i saw different statistics in blogger and google-analytics and in adsense window. I contacted google then and there. They replied within a week and told, "none of the visits were human. means they were just bots, designed to crwal your pages and ignore it. Your analytics status would be your true views."

The Google Nexus 4, also known as LG Mako is the premium smartphone which broke all shackles off the Galaxy s4. This smartphone,subsidised by Google Inc was launched at a mouth watering pricetag of just 24,999 INR. Motorola launched 3 phones under the same name recently, Droid ultra,Droid maxx, Droid mini .Droid was chosen as a symbolic name to android. The three phones fell under different category. Hence they needed to be explained separately. The motorola was people's trusted brand of the year 2008. It suddenly fell from top level to bottom with introduction of android phones by samsung and LG. Motorola is now in a reniassance phase now. Our wait is atlast over. The first android phone hit markets with android 4.3. Yes i am speaking about asus google partnership, the nexus 7 as they name it. This phone as per the requirements of the user are available in two variants namely with operator support and without operator support. Yes you guessed right. with and without SIM/cellular network support. This phone, announced recently july 24th 2013, is expected to hit markets this coming 30th july 2013. This is the venture of aus in the nexus series. The phone as roumered seems to be the first to run on android 4.3. Android 4.3 has been made available to all nexus devices worldwide on 25/6/2013.

This phone has a lot of difference from the previous nexus 7, and can be easily spot on. Let us check what all features have been integrated into Asus-Google-Nexus-7.

The Nokia Lumia 625 is a tweaked version fixing all the problems in nokia lumia 620 which was lauched ealier this year. This cure round edged phone is expected to hit markets in september 2013. This was announced by Nokia India on July. The phone featuring windows operating system may replace lumia 620. No official words are out about this. We had seen problems of lag and hanging up on lumia 620, While lumia 720 and 520 were perfect Gems.

Though the specifications are somewhat similar to that of lumia 620 as Nokia has only cared to remove problems that Lumia 620 faced. But lets look into the detailed specifications.

AMD 5GHZ Processor Is it Worth The money?

AMD launched 5GHZ 8 core unlocked model recently. Being an AMD enthusiast, i was amazed by this move by AMD. Earlier many HOAX came out like the CPU was meant to be available only to Full PC builders/ Brands like Dell, LG, Hp etc..This then proved to be a lie, as the CPUs were shown available on almost all US stores. This made us wonderstruck. Why sell a 5GHZ processor out to compete with intel?. We very well know that the 'hyperthreading' patended by intel can pull anther 55% off a CPU which is pulling AMD back mainly these days. This is the reason why a 8 true core processor couldnt beat the 6 core 12 threaded intel extreme processor. Then AMD again tries to compete with intel by releasing a revised clocked up vishera. Really? What did you think AMD?

INTEL's strategy is pretty clear. Next they would launch a 8 core 16 threaded processor haswell-E series and all that overclocking may go in vain AMD. I am sad to say this, but the leaked details off INTEL die shop has proved the plans of INTEL.

Power Used

The main problem holding back AMD is its power usage. Intel Haswell-E has an expected 140W TDP at load while vishera 9590 has a TDP of 220W. 80W more power usage means more current bill. For that extra current you use every hour, you could spend for an INTEL processor.

Clock-UP

The tweaked up clock 5GHZ can generate enormous heat. We have seen heat issues with AMD 8350 4GHZ with air cooling. Even a powerful noctua/coolermaster double tower couldnt lower the heat much. So that means you desperately need an excellent water cooling system for CPU. Unless we become clear whats inside the AMD processor box, we cant be sure. Unless its a bundled Water cooling, one would go straightly for an intel i7-4770 processor.

Motherboard support

All new AM3+ platform board must be released to sustain the enormous 220W TDP as the maximum TDP supported is 150W by an AMD supported board. This would also come with a premium price than regular boards. maybe around 100$ more. This may give INTEL an advantage where even a 60$ motherboard can run a i7-4770 processor (4core-8 thread)

Performance

Yes, the clocks up would give an advantage to AMD. But none says about overclocking INTEL. An overclocked intel i7-4770 would deliver more perfromance than Stock 5GHZ AMD.

I said i7-4770 processor. Expect what a stock i7-8 core haswell would deliver...

Reliability

From my experience, how much hot a CPU runs, the reliability goes down. For example, as tudy conducted by 'pure-pc' showed clearly that a stock cpu can last more than an overclocked CPU.

And for people who care about reliability, this news is hell. AMD always has been our partner since they were found reliable than INTEL, where INTEL cpu performance has gone down in years, But AMD stood strong.

Overall Rating

We could only give it a 4/5 rating, as the sources say that pricetag of CPU alone maybe 900$. Yeah that is a rough 54,000 INR. For that price, one could get their hands on 2.Yeah TWO!! bundle Intel i7-4770+motherboard

Lets see the Hard way now. DNS errors are those errors happening due to non rendering/resolving the website namesevers on request. This can happen from a new ISP to Top level ISP. This can also happen because of underwater oceanic cable faults and so on.

The Hard way is to log-in to your modem and changing the servers inside.

Type 192.168.1.1 on your addressbar (can vary with modem regions-also 192.168.0.1 for some models)

Click on 'ADVANCED SETTINGS' on left side menu
It will now expand and select 'DNS servers' option.

Choose to enter DNS Ip manually

What is a DNS server and what is meant by resolving?

All websites we browse, for eg www.google.com are stored as IP addresses in the DNS database and how fast this name request can be turned to IP address by your DNS servers determines your internet browsing speed.

This process of turning names to IP are called as resolving (laymans terms)

How to spot and fix DNS errors?

If your browsing turns extremely annoying with half loaded webpages, never ever responding loading bars and specific site loading issues, then you are a victim of DNS error.

There are 2 fixes. Let me explain easy method here

This involves editing your network connection (lan connection) protocol and wifi connection protocol in case of wifi users.

Goto control panel.
Open 'Network and sharing center' .
On left side top, click on 'adapter settings'. You can see such a window

Find your network adapter (in case of wired connections it should be 'LOCAL AREA CONNECTION' or 'ETHERNET' and in case of wireless connections it should be 'WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTER'

Right click the adapter and click 'properties'

select TCP/IP (v4) and click properties

You can see a window as below.

Change the button selection to Use the following ip address and use the following DNS address
Enter the following in it
Ip address:192.168.1.3 (last value can be any value 2-255)
Subnet mask:just click on this section, you can see it appearing automatically
Default gateway-192.168.1.1
Primary DNS and secondary DNS
You can choose from any pair below

Open DNS

The camera disappoints again. A trick to make people go and buy the full version. Its a mere 4.0 MP camera. The secondary camera is of decent 1.6 MP though. It has 1080p @ 30fps video recording. But expect nothing from a 4MP camera eventhough HD capable. We would atleast expect a 8MP from HTC. The camera has added features like tag on and smile and face detections.

FEATURES

The other features of this miniature version are, a 4.2.2 HTC sense firmware and a dual core karait clocked at 1.4GHZ working on a qualcomm snapdragon chipset. The phone is equipped with adreno 305 and one would have expected a decent one from HTC. It has accelerometer,gyro,proximity and compass included. It supports HTML 5 and has GPS with GLONASS support.

BATTERY

It is equipped with a non removable 1800mah battery Li-ion. It provides a sweet 20hr talktime on 4G. The non removable battery maybe a burden later as with low RAM the phone is prone to LAG and Freezes.

Motorola Moto X Full Phone Specifications

The motorola Moto X is the device from motorola which runs google android (stock) 4.2.2 .This device which is expected to be a killer in price is expected to arrive on final qaurter of 2013 and announcements may happen anytime from august 2013.This device, being powered by the stock android is expected to show miracles to the people waiting. Motorola has carefully integrated all features and taken special care to put each component a little ahead of the competitors specs. Consider the CPU for example. where every device offers a 1.5ghz krait version, motorola has taken special care enough to power up 0.2ghz more on the version its using in moto-x, yes a 1.7ghz CPU which is as fast as a tweaked OS running 4 core smartphone.

The motorola company faced many problems while switching from its java platform phones l6,l7,l9 etc to standard multitouch phones. They have tried almost everything. At last they come up with stock android. Will it work for them? Wait and see till Q4 2013. Lets meanwhile see the specs of moto-x

NETWORK

Motorola moto x is expected to have support for all bands available including 2G,3G and 4G-LTE.The modes/bands supported are GSM 850, 900,1800,1900. 3G support is limited to HSDPA only. 4G support has not been revealed officialy. LTE support is announced.

DISPLAY

As expected, motorola moved from resistive touch and stylus to more friendly capacitive screen with 16M colour support. The screen is of 4.7 inch width (diagonally measured) with a decent 312 ppi density. But SAD...the display is not full HD capable. as motorola offers just 720*1280 pixels. There is also multitouch support announced for motorola moto-x 2013.

SOUND

The phone is equipped with regular WAV ringtones with mp3 switch support, and also supports MP3 and MP4 formats.It is also equipped with loudspeaker, and an integrated 3.5mm jack slot. But with previous experiences with motorola, one can expect excellet sound than any other smartphone relesed till date.

MEMMORY

The phone has an internal 16GB memmory (12GB approx usable) and an external slot with support upto 32GB memmory cards (micro sd). The phone is also equipped with enormous 2GB memory for LAG-free operation. We saw earlier what a good memmory can do in LAG free operation -Nexus 4 Q1 2013

Motorola moto x has HSPA+,GPRS, and EDGE support. HSPA expected speeds must be around 21Mbps. The phone also has equipped wifi with wifi hotspot, a V4.0 Bluetooth for seamless operation, and USB cord with USB 2.0 aarchitecture.

CAMERA

This is where motorola did an amazing study and heck, even latest phones with half lack pricetag have 8Mp camera. Motorola has intelligently integrated a 10Mp camera and this could add a lot to the value. The secondary camera for voice calls can deliver upto 2 Mp (1.9approx) and is pretty decent in current scenario. The primary camera is capable of recorind in 1080p with 30 frames and serves as a pocket HD cam.

The expected backup is around 20hours on 4G. Motorola may come up with a powerful battery so as to fullfill the power requirements of overclocked krait (1.7GHZ). atleast a 3000mah battery is essential
