How To Get Rid Of Vampirestat Visits (Solved)

Hi guys,
This is the second part of the tutorial, which explains with proof the results of the methods i suggested in previous post.Refer it to here READ EARLIER POST

The below are the snapshots of my blogger stats after taking the necessary steps discussed in my earlier post

THE STATS FOR THE LAST MONTH

On seeing the queries and URL's referring to my site, you must be convinced that no visits were made from adsensewatch-DOG or Vampire-stat domains. The data clearly states that all of my visits were from google search itself. Not even a single visit from the spam bots. Yippie!!

THE STATS FOR THE MONTH WHEN I WAS HIT BY SPAM BOTS
(R-e-f-e-r-e-r,Adsensewatch-DOG. and Vampire-STAT)

see, most of the visits are contributed by the spam bots and hence i lost a lot of revenue due to invalid views going on my website. The snapshot before this was even horrible, completely dominated by vampire-stat , Refer to the first post for the snapshot..

WHAT HAPPENED AFTER?

The revenue increased dramatically to 240% as all the visits were genuine google searches and i am thankful to those who guided me to try this method out, mainly google product forum contributors...

Thanks

How To Fix Battery Drain Issues On Galaxy Note 2

Have you also met battery drain problems on your smartphone recently? .This is experienced mainly in samsung galaxy series devices. Mainly in galaxy note-2 and sometimes seen in samsung -s3 I9300 too. This causes the phone to be seen dead after 5-6 hours of standby. Yeah! you heard it right. standby!!!. This causes you to charge it up before using it the next day. Everything needs to be booted again to connect with your friends.

Absolute misery, I call it.

Lets talk you into my experience with this problem. I got a panic call from my friend at night, Arjun who owned a galaxy note-2 (N7100) and he told his battery was drained fully in 6 hours, and he was pretty sure that he closed all the apps and the phone was in standby mode when he went to sleep. I too was amazed and as the device was pretty new, (around 1 month old), i thought it may be one of those lemon-battery issues the galaxy N7100 had, for which samsung replaced batteries free off cost under warranty. To make sure i asked him to send the history plot of the battery, which revealed an interesting fact....

BATTERY USAGE HISTORY

  • The screen was off during standby and hence he said it right, He didnt use the phone during sleep ...
  • The device was awake throughout and see the plot below. something was using the battery constantly, which made me ask him to scan the system for any infections.

AVAST MOBILE SECURITY

  • The Avast antivirus is a reliable piece of software which notifies the user about unwanted apps and can track the device incase if its stolen. The software returned no threats
The battery monitoring data from app sucker and GSAM battery monitor revealed there was no application running heavily and the android system and kernel was behaving normal

(ignore avast antivirus), as it was taken during the scan was going on in the background.

APP SUCKER BATTERY MONITOR/APP MONITOR

GSAM BATTERY MONITOR

GSAM BATTERY MONITOR GRAPH

Looking through the diagrams, it is pretty clear that the device was continuously losing power from around 4AM to 9AM and all the power was drained around 11AM. The device was put in charge bach around 11.30AM and it picks up charge succesfully

This was the story. Why did it lose charge all the way within 6 hour?

The answer was simple, the next day he logged into gmail which showed the usage statistics at bottom. All the pictures in his device was uploaded to picasa (G+ album) by the google plus app on his phone. Lucky that all the pictures were in private mode, else it would have leaked all over the internet. His 3G data balance was nil in no time.

So to rectify this,he did basic things
  • Logged out from g+ app
  • disabled the sync option on g+ settings
  • turned off data transfer before putting device in standby mode.
Next time you lose power so quickly, check whether any app uploads data from your phone.

Thanks

Virtual Private Servers: Facts and Insights!

The Virtual Private Servers are known to be dedicated storage service that provides processing and web spaces to rent as well as subcontracts in the online space. This service provides users with the facility to use resources based on their demand. These server hosting services are customized based on each of the clients demands. Many factors are considered in terms of cloud hosting services enable users to get utilization and efficiency for virtual desktops, private servers, private virtual desktops and hosted desktops.

The virtual private hosting service provides users with two options namely, Linux server hosting and Window server hosting. The Linux server hosting is the service that works on Linux running system while Window server hosting services work on Windows operating systems. It is essential to analyze the business needs along with the traffic and processing cost when selecting any cloud hosting service. The second criterion that comes into picture is the storage space and disk space. The users need to ensure that the dedicated storage is used optimally when using cloud services. The hosting services that are provided by the Linux servers and Windows servers give users the freedom to choose between different storage space plans for virtual private services. The storage space offered by these virtual private services range from 40 GB to 240 GB. The users can customize the storage numbers based on the storage capacity they need for their private server hosting.

There has always been a concern for RAM specifications when it comes to virtual desktops, private hosting and hosting virtual private servers. The users need to ensure that the RAM storage is chosen based on their business needs. The businesses that need to do tasks for data storage, data migration and analysis business application require high end RAM. Similarly, the traffic intensive and response based business applications require the RAM specifications that are the best.

Another advantage of virtual private hosting is that it enables its customers to select the operating system for their virtual private web space for Cloud hosting. Apart from RAM, the users also need to use good bandwidth that can range from 1,000 GB/month to 2,000 GB/month. This doesn't end here as the private hosting service lets users to decide the bandwidth range based on what they require.

Smart Data and Big Threats: How Cloud Will Look Like in Future

Smart Data and Big Threats: How Cloud Will Look Like in Future

So far, even an average internet user has probably heard about cloud computing and is aware of the buzz surrounding it. The truth is that this technology has existed for years, but it is its massive adoption that has turned it into a true craze. With all the companies seeking to improve their business processes with smart and affordable cloud software tools, vendors have recognized the potential of this market and started enhancing their cloud-based services.

Though there are many ways in which cloud has affected our everyday and professional lives, the direction of its development is more or less clear to most cloud experts. Certainly, there are plenty of different apps yet to be developed, but in general, there are two important trends that we’ll see in the close future.

Smart Data

The term ‘big data’ has been frequently mentioned in relation to the growth of cloud technologies. What it refers to is the fact that cloud technology makes it possible to deal with huge chunks of digital data that our hyper-connected public clouds produce on a daily basis. Big data have become a reality for a growing number of businesses that increasingly turn to cloud in order to discover software tools that are powerful enough to analyze them.

Many surveys have reported that big data will remain the focus of cloud development in future. However, Erik Grueter from Cloud Times believes that smart data is to become the next big thing in cloud. According to him This smart data is created by algorithms that can cut down data to its most important points, grading information’s usefulness by its age for example. Practically, instead of compiling large amounts of data, companies need to use appropriate tools to analyze them and get to the information that is relevant to their business processes. 3rd Annual Cloud and Smart Data Summit 2013 is one of the big events where ‘smart data’ will be discussed in relation to cloud data processing practices.

Big Threats

Many cloud experts have predicted that the cloud will generate more possibilities for malicious attacks. Of course, security has always been the major problem when it comes to cloud computing, but most users simply choose to trust the vendors with their data. As vulnerable as it is, online space has always been full of different threats and risks. With the advancement of cloud, security standards have become better, but the fact that so much data is regularly sent to the Internet means more opportunities for hackers to obtain them.

Identity theft is still a major risk for everyone having an online account, but it is not the only one. Shared hosting makes it possible for hackers to break into a single account and get the access to all the other users on the same server. Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacksare just another form of malicious activity intended to prevent websites, especially the commercial ones, from functioning smoothly. Tech enthusiasts have agreed upon the fact that DDoS attacks are growing and that they’ll be one of the common problems in future.
Obviously, these directions of development are a result of our online behavior. While our online identities grow, we become too dependent on the cloud. Therefore, the two future trends described above are an important issue for both individual and business users, as they can shape our future in the cloud.

How To Add HTML Sitemap To Blogger Easily ?

Uses of a site-map

To make your site more authentic, an HTML sitemap is essential. A site-map provides a user/advertiser the overall layout of a website. Though some websites have inbuilt support for generating site-maps, (automatic site-map generation), Blogger dont have that feature. This makes Blogs look like primitive workshop eventhough backed up by a nice template. The site-map feature can now be used in blogger via script developed by Top-Bloggers

Example of a sitemap  -- Click Here

How to add a sitemap ?

  • Create a new page (blogger----pages---new page) (not new post)
  • Download the script from here  Here
(cant post the script on the page. No surveys or offers required)
  • Copy paste the script on your page
(Make sure to edit the website in script www.digitallyblind.com to your web page address to make it work. Else it will show my site-map on your webpage)

Testing

Open the page in a browser to view the site-map. If succesful, sit-back and relax. If found any problem, please revert to me
